Background & Challenges
The Center for Arts & Learning Auditorium used to be a church building, and when Norman Public Schools acquired it, they saw an awesome opportunity to turn it into something special. The goal? Create a top-tier venue for fine arts performances, school functions, community events, and more. But with that vision came a few hurdles—like a tight budget, a very short timeline, and the need for a space that delivered a powerful AV experience.
The existing audio setup just wasn’t cutting it—poor acoustics, minimal control, and no real visual presence. They needed something that could deliver both impact and flexibility for a wide variety of events.
Solutions & Implementation
That’s where we came in. At ImageNet Consulting, we thrive on these types of challenges. Norman Public Schools needed a reliable partner that wasn’t afraid to think big—so we brought a bold solution to the table, staying within budget and on schedule, while exceeding expectations.
LED Video Wall:
We installed a custom DVS Vizra-2X PLUS+ modular LED video wall, with a 35x5 panel array spanning 57.41 feet wide by 16.5 feet high. It delivers ultra-crisp, vibrant visuals with a 4480x1280 resolution, and features 22-bit greyscale processing and HDR capability to make every piece of content pop. The wall is gently curved to create a band shell feel on stage, enhancing both aesthetics and acoustics. It serves as a stunning visual centerpiece for performances, presentations, and more.

Immersive Audio:
To complement the visuals, we implemented the Fulcrum Acoustic VenueFlex immersive audio system. This system offers balanced, dynamic sound that reaches every seat in the room—whether it’s a concert, a speaking engagement, or a gaming event, the clarity and presence are unmatched.
Lighting System:
We also partnered with DCPro to deliver a full overhaul of the auditorium’s lighting, using Elation’s state-of-the-art fixtures for both house and stage lighting. The result? A space that’s fully equipped for everything from dramatic performances to vibrant community gatherings.
Even with a tight timeline, we stayed flexible. When an early event popped up before the project was fully complete, we brought in temporary gear to make it happen. While there was some confusion afterward about what was permanent versus rented, we stayed communicative, supportive, and responsive the whole way through.
Results & Impact
The transformed auditorium has been a huge success. Since completion, it’s been constantly in use—hosting everything from concerts and staff meetings to e-sports tournaments. Community partners have even started reaching out to rent the space.
It’s more than just an upgraded auditorium, it’s now a high-demand, multi-purpose venue that adds real value to the district. It gives Norman Public Schools a place that’s impressive, functional, and flexible enough to support a wide variety of high-profile events.
